What representation includes

Full representation means I handle the legal process end to end. That includes:

Advising you on your rights and options at every stage,

Drafting and reviewing all documents and correspondence,

Negotiating on your behalf with the other party or their lawyer,

Representing you in mediation and settlement conferences.

I work hard to keep matters out of Court if it can be helped, because it’s almost always better for your family.

You stay informed and in control throughout. I represent your decisions and instructions — I make sure you have everything you need to make them confidently.

More Information

Your matter

Some matters are too significant, too complex, or too contested to navigate alone. When the stakes are high — when children’s arrangements are disputed, when financial settlements are complicated, or when the other party has legal representation and you don’t — having an experienced family lawyer in your corner isn’t a luxury. It’s protection.

I take on a limited number of representation clients at any time, which means when I take on your matter, you have my full attention. You will always know where things stand, what is happening next, and why.

My approach to representation is not to escalate — it is to resolve. Litigation is always a last resort. The goal is always the best outcome for you and your family, reached as efficiently and as humanely as possible.

Who this is for

  • Anyone facing a contested separation where the other party has legal representation
  • Matters involving complex property, business assets, or significant financial settlements
  • Parenting disputes where children’s safety or wellbeing is at risk
  • Anyone who has been self-representing and has reached a point where they need full support
  • Clients who simply want the certainty of having a lawyer handle the process completely

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will it cost in total?

Family law matters vary significantly in complexity and duration, which makes a fixed total difficult to quote upfront. What I can tell you is that I will always give you a realistic picture of likely costs at the outset, and I will never run up your bill unnecessarily. Resolving matters efficiently is in both our interests.

Do I have to go to Court?

Not necessarily, and in most cases we work hard to avoid it. The majority of family law matters are resolved through negotiation or mediation. Court is a last resort, not a default.

How long will it take?

This depends entirely on the nature of your matter and the level of cooperation from the other side. I will give you an honest assessment of likely timeframes at our first meeting.

What if I’ve already started the process myself?

That’s completely fine. Many clients come to me mid-process. We’ll review where things stand and take it from there.
